Here’s a little slice of life – a chunk of Canadiana – an idyllic scene from acreage life.
I love to visit this little spot in Water Valley, Alberta. Friends of ours have us for dinner – which is to say they invite us to join them for dinner – and I usually take the opportunity to have a look around.
Being a city slicker I especially enjoy how quiet it is up there, and how clean the air is. Of particular interest to me in the summer months is that there are very few mosquitoes here. Apparently, the bats in their yard find mosquitoes a most delectable treat so they never get established.
Summer’s coming. And I can hardly wait.
